SUSAN TOLER |
Susan Toler is a passionate amateur endurance athlete. Susan has
tried to find a balance in her life that includes work, family and a
centeredness that comes from long distance, rhythmic endurance
sports. During law school, she started rowing as a way to balance the
stress of that environment. She has continued to learn and train for
other endurance sports: triathlons, open water swimming, long distance
bicycling, long distance rowing events, cross country skiing, speed
skating and long distance Nordic ice skating. This past year, she
decided to become a part-time attorney so that she could train and
travel to pursue her love of endurance sport. |
| (She has a Social Security Practice in Center City and
Germantown). She spent the first two months of 2006 living alone in a
small cottage in Northern Vermont so that she could work and train as
much as possible for a March cross country ski marathon. Susan’s past
programs have featured passionate amateur athletes like herself for whom
sport is not about winning but about training, goal-setting and
discipline. Her past programs have featured a diverse range of guests,
including disabled athletes, area women cyclists-Sturdy Girls- and their
coach, athletes who do only charity endurance events, and artists who
are athletes.
